Extended Abstract Submission Instruction

@ Submission-Guideline
1. You should submit a PDF file as an extended abstract which is NOT encoded or compressed.
2. All PDF files must be limited to 3MB and formatted in A4 2 pages, which include important figures, tables, and pictures.
3. All letters in PDF file must be 1byte TrueType Time Font. NEVER USE other fonts like bit-mapped fonts, for example Ryumin Font. (We will check using fonts in the submitted PDF file)
4. NO E-mails attached extended abstract can be accepted even though you include abstract-information.
5. Please get the same number of Log-In Name and Password if you submit plural extended abstracts. For instance, you MUST get 5 Log-In Name and Password in the case that you submit 5 Extended Abstracts.
6. We will send an invoice to you later in a case that you submit Extended Abstract via shipping because we have to scan your Abstract. It costs JPY 1,000 per an abstract excluded payment commission.

@ Formatting of Extended Abstract (A maximum of A4 2 pages)
(1) ALL EXTENDED ABSTRACTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH.
(2) FORMATTING YOUR EXTENDED ABSTRACT.
- The total allowable width of the text area is 17 cm wide by 22 cm high. (Size of A4 page, 21.0 cm ~ 29.7 cm)
- All text must be in either one or two-column format.

Basically, This format is free. We can show you the samples of format.
One is simple format ( single column style), another one is formal format that we will ask to make for the publishing.
The extended abstract of accepted paper will be published by means of paper.

(3) TYPE-STYLE AND FONTS.
- Wherever Times-font is specified.
- Please use the font closest in appearance to Times-font that you have access to.
- PLEASE NEVER USE ANY RYUMIN FONTS.

MAIN TITLE.
- Center the title of the first page.
- Capitalize the first letter of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs; do not capitalize articles, coordinate conjunctions, or prepositions (unless the title begins with such a word).
- Leave two blank lines after the title.

AUTHOR NAME(s) , AFFILIATION(s) and E-Mails
- They are to be centered beneath the title.
- Authors' E-Mail address should be shown below names and affiliations.
- This information is to be followed by two blank lines.

MAIN TEXT
- Be sure your text is fully justified -- that is, flush left and flush right. Please do not place any additional blank lines between paragraphs.
- Initially capitalize only the first word of section titles and first-, second-, and third-order headings.

FIRST-ORDER HEADINGS. (For example, 1. Introduction)
- This should be initially capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before.

SECOND-ORDER HEADINGS. (For example, 1.1. Database elements)
- This should be initially capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before.
- If you require a third-order heading, use boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, preceded by one blank line, followed by a period and your text on the same line.

(4) FOOTNOTES
- Use footnotes sparingly and place them at the bottom of the column on the page on which they are referenced.
- To help your readers, avoid using footnotes altogether and include necessary peripheral observations in the text (within parentheses, if you prefer, as in this sentence).

(5) REFERENCES.
- List and number all bibliographical references at the end of your abstract.
- When referenced in the text, enclose the citation number in square brackets, for example [1].Where appropriate, include the name(s) of editors of referenced books.

(6) Illustrations, graphs, and photographs
- Your artwork must be in place in the article.
- If you are using digital data of photographs, use less than 600 dpi data.
- Black and white, clear, glossy-finish photos are preferable to color.
- Supply the best quality photographs and illustrations possible.
- When you make PDF file, please mind to compress graphic and image to keep a quality as much as possible.
- Remember, the quality of the proceeding cannot be better than the originals provided.

(7) COLOR
- We will print extended abstracts by means of paper in black and white.
- We recommend you not to use color images in your abstract.
- The color images in your file unless specifically instructed to do so.
