The EuP Directive (Directive on Energy Using Products) had been adopted in July 2005 by the European Parliament and the Council. The Directive covers almost all Industrial Products and demands environmental design consideration requirements such as the energy efficiency. Now the practical arguments for the implementing measure are actively urged. The technical committee member of EcoDesign2007 deems this Directive as the most important legislative system to promote Environment conscious product and business development.
This special project session is specially designed on this occasion to gather legislative player from EU, officials and experts from Japan and Korea, IEC Eco-design standardization committee members, as speakers to exchange opinions from multilateral view point.
